It was a perfectly beautiful day! The Monterey Bay Marine layer burned off when we got there, the sun shone through and a cool breeze blew, making the day ideal for an outing. Cami really didn't know that we were there to pick berries, she just liked walking down the berry lane looking at the bees on the flowers. Dahlia was in the front carrier with me. Good times were had by all. Here are some pictures from the morning. Enjoy...
We are a young family learning to love as Our Father loves us, and live fully in the tremendous Grace we have been given.

Memorial Day Weekend Fun!!!!
The weekend is over and we had a BLAST!!! Ian's mom came into town and was able to help us with home stuff, the babies, and having a great time.
Our Saturday was a great restful day. Ian and I were guests on the Mount Hermon Redwood Canopy Tour: http://mounthermon.org/other-programs/canopy-tours
We had a very wonderful time. Ian is a canopy tour guide during the summer, so the tour was nothing really new for him. I on the other hand was pregnant throughout the tour being built, and all of Ian's work on it. I was SO excited to FINALLY get a turn on the tour. It was WONDERFUL!!!! It was so peaceful to zip through and above the beautiful redwood forest we call home. We didn't bring our camera but here is a shot of Ian from last summer. Hopefully I can get up in the trees a few more times this year.
Sunday was filled with Church, a baby shower, naps, and lots of laundry.
Memorial day we went down to play with our friends The Folkerts and more. They set up a huge slip-n-slide down the side of the hill on the property. Cami borrowed a wetsuit from The Bartletts and here are some pictures from this wonderfully fun day!!

A first for us tonight, and more....
Cami drew on the bathroom door while I was feeding Dahlia... I guess the giant piece of cardboard I gave her to draw on wasn't big enough... Thank The Lord it is washable marker.
Dahlia grew out of the bassinet and is now going to be sleeping next to me in the pack-n-play. Hopefully she will move out of our room soon. for a month she slept from about 9pm until 7am. Just recently she has been waking up at 5 and stirring around. We're working on getting back to that 7am start time, because then she won't wake Cami up when they are in the same room.
Cami is a sleeping wiggler!! We put her down on one side of the crib, and each time we check on her, she is in a different place. It's great. We have a twin bed all ready for her transition, we're just waiting on the bed rail to get here. Then Dahlia can have the crib, they will share a room, and Ian and I can have our own bedroom 'area' (the room is connected to the kitchen) for the first time in 2 years!!!! I can't wait. I think I will be able to sleep through the night somewhat peacefully! You know how it is moms... any movement from the little one and your sleep is interrupted just a bit. I'm excited for that day, and the energy my body will hopefully restore.

"Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit...
... I will be brief."
I feel I need to re-cap our marriage and life up 'til now, before I start in on updating weekly. We have been on a journey full of so many moments of joy, love, grace, and life, but also many filled with pain, fear, weakness, and sorrow. We are living in the Grace that has been poured out over us by our Father. He is the only constant in our ever changing and growing world.
RECAP: Married January '07, moved into CABIN 1, Graduated March '07, lived in CABIN 2, Baby Cami born May 30, 2007, took her home from the hospital into CABIN 3, Cami has open heart surgery October '07, some sort of normalcy is present, new job March '08, moved into new (and current) CABIN 4, Baby Dahlia born January 31, 2009, PRESENT.

We have been blessed beyond belief, and every day is a new gift from God.
